Glenn has this gem up now. Yeah, there are no Republican 527s, when you type Republican 527 into Google, it comes back, "huh?"

Bad Math

Instapundit points to a 2% increase in the approval of the war in Iraq as a repudiation of the anti-war movement. Um, Glenn, the margin of error is 3%, that means that a 2% change is statistically insignificant. Statistics are fun, everyone should learn them, then they won't make stupid mistakes.

Andrew Sullivan thinks PRI is more left-wing than NPR.

I've been trying to warn people! Michael Feldman's Whad'Ya Know? besides being hilarious is corrupting our youth! Why, just look at the crazy contractions in the title! That's commie-English!

Crazy like a...

I'm watching Bill O'Reilly and I'm loving it! Bill is about to blow a gasket, talking with a guy about the city of New York not allowing creches in city schools.

Two things:

1. You ever get the feeling that these people didn't do so well on the SAT? Here's a test...Star of David, Islamic Crescent, the Cross, the Creche...which of these is not like the others, which of these things does not belong? (You can sing the song if you want.)

2. Bill really hates it when smart, articulate people are on his show, it's surprising that this one got past the guards.
History repeats itself...over and over

The institution of marriage has from time immemorial been considered a proper subject for State regulation in the interest of the public health, morals and welfare, to the end that family life, a relation basic and vital to the permanence of the State, may be maintained in accordance with established tradition and culture and in furtherance of the physical, moral and spiritual well-being of its citizens.

We are unable to read in the Fourteenth Amendment to the Constitution, or in any other provision of that great document, any words or any intendment which prohibit the State from enacting legislation to preserve the racial integrity of its citizens, or which denies the power of the State to regulate the marriage relation so that it shall not have a mongrel breed of citizens. We find there no requirement that the State shall not legislate to prevent the obliteration of racial pride, but must permit the corruption of blood even though it weaken or destroy the quality of its citizenship. Both sacred and secular history teach that nations and races have better advanced in human progress when they cultivated their own distinctive characteristics and culture and developed their own peculiar genius."

Tell me how the opposition to homosexual marriage is any different than this decision from Naim v. Naim, Virginia 1955 (197 Va. 80).

Crazy like a...
So, Fox Newsmagazine just did a story about anti-depressants leading to school shootings among teens. They point out that one thing that many of the recent school shooters share is that they were on anti-depressants. Well, they also all went to sleep the night before. More importantly, they all were so sick they had been prescribed anti-depressants! Each year 500,000 teens attempt suicide and 5,000 succeed! Stories like Fox's have the potential to do great harm.
